Boss Dd3 Vs Dd7

Besides digital delay sounds it also provides an analog delay emulation of the legendary boss dm 2 modulation and a reverse mode.
Boss dd3 vs dd7. I think dd3 is an earlier simpler digital delay and it just does unaltered clean repeats to a moderate max time is it about 0 6s max per repeat. The dd 3t is identical with its predecessor the dd 3. The dd 7 on the other hand offers emulations of different delay types such as analog reverse and modualtion. There is no doubt that dd7 gives a lot of value.
Dd 7 with the dd 8 and the dd 3t boss sends two new digital delays in the well known compact enclosure in the race. Dd7 does all of that with much longer repeats possible plus various analogue sim and modulated delays plus a looper. I find it personally satisfying and i get the subtle tones i need from it. Boss dd7 also comes with an expression input and a looper.
At the beginning of 2019 the boss dd 7 is the most recent pedal of the boss digital delay series. But that darn mxr carbon copy keeps calling my name. The delay time is much longer and i believe the hold function can be used as a 40 second looper. As the effect when you turn the pedal off you will immediately cut the delay.
It has everything that dd3 has more exciting features like the hold mode which actually gives you a 40 second loop the modulated delay and the external footswitch integration. On the contrary boss dd7 has a spill over circuit so that it will have some audio trails after you turn the pedal off. The 9v stereo pedal comes around in the familiar boss quality and appearance. When it comes to boss dd3 vs dd7 clearly boss dd 7 wins the match.
Is it worth replacing. I ve been using the boss dd3 for years. Very different pedals check out the boss site for descriptions.
