Boss Dd 3 In Effects Loop

Weird effects loop behaviour with boss dd3 delay pedal.
Boss dd 3 in effects loop. Sounds like a problem with the effects loop on that amp. An old dan echo has been in the effects loop on my blues deluxe ri for about 10 years now. The problem you re experiencing sounds like the amp itself. Main and direct output jacks now positioned on one side of the pedal boss five year warranty.
Compact delay pedal with superb boss sound quality. Don t remember what is was. Short loop setting for creating phrase loops same as the hold function on the original dd 3 direct output for sending dry and wet sounds to separate amps. Boss stomps are generally meant to run at instrument level 10dbv.
Hold function repeats delay sound indefinitely for interesting effects. Might have been the dd 3 edit. The line instrument level thing is mostly seen on rack mount processors allowing you to switch them between line level use or instrument level use. Had sent the dan echo in to replace the jacks and tried the boss while i was gone.
However there seem to be no specifications available that tell you what the range of input levels for these devices is only the impedances. I use a boss dd 2 in the loop of my marshall with no problem at all. Provides 3 delay time modes and a delay time control for quick adjustment of exact delay time between 12 5ms 800ms. I did try a different one a long time age and it did not work.
My effects loop has a mix control of 10 to 90 to contour how much wet signal i want to affect the dry signal of the amp. Many years later boss further developed this creative concept with the successful loop station products which helped spawn the new musical style of live looping. The dd 5 was a great success and boss originally thought that it would replace the dd 3. If the signal comes through clean just at a lower level something is attenuating it in the module.
However the simplicity and great sound of the dd 3 continued to hit the sweet spot for lots of players and is the reason why it remains in the lineup to this day. Remembered it was a dd 3.
